Yehuda Armoni was born in Jerusalem on December 12, 1953. He is a scion of the Castel family, which arrived in the Land of Israel after the expulsion of the Jews from Spain more than five hundred years ago.

Yehuda Armoni is a late bloomer of the most pleasing kind. He started his artistic adventure in 2001, at the age of 49, after a very successful career as an electronical engineer. At the peak of his career, a highly successful CEO of a prominent hi-tech company in Israel, Yehuda decided to take a breather.

רמלה – ישן מול חדש
בשנת 2023, לקראת הפתיחה המחודשת של מוזיאון העיר רמלה, צייר יהודה ארמוני ציור קיר בגודל 150X350 ס”מ שנושאו ישן מול חדש ברמלה. הציור נמצא בקיר פנימי באחד מחדרי המוזיאון.

בשנים האחרונות אנחנו עדים לעלייה בנראות של ציור פיגורטיבי. דווקא בתקופה בה טכנולוגיה צוברת השפעה על העשייה האמנותית, והפופולריות הרבה של מיצבים, ניתן לראות זאת כדיסוננס אך למעשה, הציור הפיגורטיבי תמיד היה שם, גם כשהצהירו על מותו. דווקא עכשיו, בתקופה סוערת זו של חיינו, הרצון להתנחם בטבע ובאמנות שאינה תובעת מאמץ הוא הגיוני וברור.
